Mish Way is a West Coast writer and musician. She graduated from Simon Fraser University with a degree in Gender Studies and Communications and studied feminist philosophy at the Universiteit Utrecht in the Netherlands.
Mish’s freelance work can be found in BUST, FFWD Weekly, The Georgia Straight, National Post, Noisey, The Talkhouse and VICE, amongst others. In addition, she has a column in New York’s Self-Titled magazine called “Better Than Food” where she explicitly over-exposes herself.
She also fronts the band White Lung. The band’s debut LP It’s The Evil was Exclaim’s ”Punk Album Of The Year in 2010″ and White Lung was nominated for Punk/Hardcore Artist/Group of the Year at the 2011 Canadian Music Week Indie Awards. Their second LP Sorry was released spring 2012 to critical acclaim from SPIN, Pitchfork, Bitch as well as landing on “Top Album of the Year” lists inRolling Stone, Exclaim!, Magnet, amongst others. Sorry was also nominated as “Best Album Art of 2012″ by NME and made the shortlist for “Best Album Art” by Art Vinyl worldwide exhibit.
