Mish Barber-Way has written for Broadly, VICE, The Talkhouse, The Guardian, i-D, Dazed & Confused, Hustler, LA Times, V magazine, amongst many others. She is currently the Executive Editor at Penthouse magazine (Penthouse Global Media Inc.) In addition, she is the Music Editor for the Los Angeles quarterly, BrightLite magazine, a publication devoted to creating quality content for girls by girls.
When not typing with one finger, Mish fronts the band White Lung (Domino Records.) During their touring years, the band has received praise from Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, NME and SPIN. Rolling Stone included their album, Deep Fantasy, on their list of "40 Greatest Punk Albums of All Time". The band's forth album Paradise was released in spring of 2016 to more critical acclaim than the predecessors. Mish has been featured in Stereogum, Rolling Stone, SPIN, Pitchfork "Over/Under" and NY Times. In 2015, Anna Wintour got so high she let Mish model YSL in Vogue's September issue (shot by David Sims.) Mish also lucked out when Hedi Slimane and Dario Catellani suffered concussions and mistook her for a model.
She lives in the suburbs of Los Angeles with her husband and their dog Tucky Buzzard.
